Since she appeared with at the back end of 2014, there has been something beautifully mystifying about Alma Elste. The young Parisienne first turned heads with the intensely infectious 'Heart Melter' but has since been honing her sound into something altogether more refined. 'I Renounce My Dream', which sees Elste team-up with rapper Allen Ginnett, dropped with little fanfare and is suitably understated yet typically intelligent and thought-provoking. Her effortless, almost spoken vocal helps the hazy, soporific tone as hypnotic production winds along alongside increasingly prominent guitar. Alma Elste remains entirely unique and can continue to dream big. -G.O'B
